Hypnotherapy For PTSD:
"The power of [hypnotic] trance can no longer be disputed. "Now we just have touse it." Stanford University psychiatrist.

Many individuals think of "hypnosis" as limited to a stage performance by a hypnotist performer who causes hypnotized subjects to bark like a dog, quack like a duck, or some other humorous behavior for the entertainment of the audience.
However, the American Medical Association and the American Psychological Association take hypnotherapy very seriously, both having recognized hypnotherapy as a valid medical procedure since 1958, over 50 years ago! In fact, such prestigious organizations as the American Medical Association, American Psychological Association, the Veteran's Administration, the Mayo Clinic, Harvard Medical School, American Cancer Society and many others accept the reality that the use of hypnosis as a treatment to reduce pain, anxiety and stress.. and therefore to accelerate the healing and recovery time from conditions such as post traumatic stress \.

Recognition & Benefits:
The Mayo Clinic reports that hypnotherapy is approved by the National Institutes of Health for treating chronic pain and that hypnotherapy can be used to reduce fear, stress and anxiety, all commonly associated with post traumatic stress disorder.
American Cancer Society, has reported that "hypnosis is one of several relaxation methods that has been approved by an independent panel, convened by The National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a useful therapy for treating chronic pain... to reduce stress and anxiety....and thereby assist with the treatment of post traumatic stress disorder.
The Lancet, a prestigious British medical journal, reports that hypnosis reduces pain, anxiety, and blood pressure complications.
Auto Club's Westways magazine, suggests hypnotherapy as one of the many ways for "injury" victims to put the brakes on post traumatic stress disorder.
While taken very seriously by the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs accepting and discussing use of hypnosis for traumatic military events, seriously points out that post-traumatic stress disorder ("PTSD") is frequently caused by non-military traumatic experiences.
A Discover magazine article stated, "over the years, a number of vigorously controlled studies have proved that hypnosis reduces pain and controls blood pressure..."
Discover magazine points out that even though scientists from Harvard to Stanford, from Mayo Clinic to the American Medical Association have been unable to explain exactly why hypnotherapy works, a Stanford University psychiatrist states, "the power of (hypnotic) 'trance' can no longer be disputed. Now we just have to use it."
Hypnotherapy works!
